DIRECTIONS:
General:  Newground's offices are located on top of Queen Anne hill, just north of the major intersection of Queen Anne Ave N and Boston Street. This is at the north end of the Queen Anne business district.  

Boston Street is the intersection that has The Teacup, Starbucks, and Flow on three of the corners, and Caffe Ladro just three doors north. Newground's door is the first door north of the intersection on the right-hand side — directly across from Caffe Ladro, next to How to Cook a Wolf.

From Aurora (99) Northbound:  

(1) DRIVE NORTH on AURORA AVE N. 

(2) Just before the Aurora Bridge, right before the Canlis Restaurant, TURN RIGHT onto HALLADAY STREET.  Watch for a “U-TURN ROUTE Queen Anne” directional sign on 99 just at the turn). 

(3) Go a very short distance and TAKE 1st LEFT onto 6th AVE N (watch for another “U-TURN ROUTE Queen Anne” directional sign). 

(4) After turning left, loop down under bridge, then curve back up to 5-way stop. 

(5) Angle slightly right (staying on the level) as you cross the intersection to go onto Queen Anne Drive. 

(6) Proceed several blocks, following the arterial through a dog-leg turn. 

(7) At 4-way stop sign, TURN LEFT onto QUEEN ANNE AVE N. 

(8) In one block, CROSS the McGRAW STREET intersection.  There is just one block between McGraw and Boston Street.  

(9) LOOK FOR PARKING in the block between McGraw and Boston.  On-street parking is free for one hour.  Our building (#2206 Queen Anne Ave N) is on the left as you travel south, one door before the intersection of Boston Street and Queen Anne Ave N — directly across from Caffe Ladro, next to How to Cook a Wolf. 

(10) ADDITIONAL PARKING.  If there are no spaces available on Queen Anne Ave, there usually is parking available on surrounding residential streets.  

BUILDING NOTE:  Once in our building lobby, there are both stairs and an elevator: 

— The stairs ascend from the lobby (look for Newground directional signs);

— However, the elevator is not in the lobby itself. To reach the elevator, go through the back lobby door marked "Garage & Elevator" and follow the painted white stripes around to the elevator bank.

Though we generally encourage exercise, the elevator is the most straightforward way to reach us.

From Aurora (99) Southbound:  

(1) DRIVE SOUTH on AURORA AVE N. 

(2) Cross Aurora Bridge, over the northern tip of Lake Union. 

(3) Immediately at end of bridge, TAKE SHARP RIGHT onto RAYE STREET. 

(4) Proceed one block to 5-way stop, and go straight across intersection onto Queen Anne Drive. 

(5) Proceed several blocks, following arterial through a dog-leg set of turns. 

(6) At 4-way stop sign, TURN LEFT onto QUEEN ANNE AVE N.

From I-5 Southbound or I-5 Northbound: 

(1) Take EXIT for MERCER STREET / SEATTLE CENTER.  Get into right-side lanes as you merge off the exit.  

(2) TURN RIGHT at light onto FAIRVIEW AVE N.  

(3) TURN LEFT at next light onto VALLEY STREET.  Lake Union is in front of you.  

(4) BEAR LEFT at fork and follow arterial onto BROAD STREET.  Cross under Aurora Ave (99).  

(5) TURN RIGHT at light onto 5th AVE N.  The Monorail is right before you overhead.  

(6) Cross light at Mercer Street, and in one block TURN RIGHT onto ROY STREET.  

(7) Go one block, then TURN LEFT onto TAYLOR AVE N.  

(8) FOLLOW TAYLOR as it snakes up the hill - it will become 5th AVE N again.  

(9) At all-way stop sign, TURN LEFT onto BOSTON STREET.  

(10) PROCEED 8 blocks WEST on BOSTON STREET till you reach 4-way stop sign at QUEEN ANNE AVE N.  

(11) LOOK FOR PARKING on BOSTON STREET in the block just before Queen Anne Ave, OR in the block AFTER TURNING RIGHT onto QUEEN ANNE AVE.
